This year’s Mahashivratri Kolaj Activity was a heart-warming blend of artistic expression, cultural understanding, and cheerful participation by our little learners. 🎨✨ 🕉️ Introducing Mahashivratri to Little Minds Mahashivratri, the sacred night dedicated to Lord Shiva, offers a beautiful opportunity for children to explore Indian traditions and values in a fun, age-appropriate way. Through storytelling, arts, and shared celebration, our preschoolers learned not just about the festival but through it — connecting cultural roots with creative expression. 🎨 Kolaj Activity — Little Hands, Big Ideas The highlight of the day was a collage-making activity themed around key symbols of Mahashivratri. With colours, paper pieces, sequins, and Gandhi-hat-style enthusiasm, children created vibrant collages featuring: • Trishul (Trident) — representing strength and balance • Damru (Drum) — symbolising rhythm and cosmic sound • Om and Shiva Lingam motifs — capturing spiritual significance Children worked in small groups, sharing materials and ideas — enhancing their fine motor skills, teamwork, and creative confidence.
Stranger Danger Awareness & Safety Activities at RiseUp Preschool
In early childhood programmes like RiseUp Preschool, stranger danger activities are thoughtfully woven into play, stories, arts, and role-play. The goal is not to frighten children but to help them understand how to stay safe, talk about their feelings, and practise making good decisions.
